Officer Nathan Stringer

Officer Stringer began his career with the City of Richland Hills on July 26, 2002, as a Police Officer.
 
Officer Stringer served as the School Resource Officer from August 2005 through May 2007 and was highly respected by BISD officials and students alike.  He has also served as Explorer Coordinator and is now training other employees to serve in this capacity.  Officer Stringer is a volunteer in the Honor Guard for the department and represents the city and department very well at law enforcement and associated funerals.
 
In June 2007, Officer Stringer was reassigned to the Crime Prevention Officer position and is in the process of revitalizing the city's Crime Prevention Program.   He was hand picked for this position because of his enthusiasm, ability to get things done and his work with citizens and other agencies.
 
Officer Stringer participates annually, along with other members of the Police Department, in the Summer Santa Program.  This program was developed to help needy families.  This program includes activities such as a miniature golf and bowling tournaments.
 
Officer Stringer's certifications include:  Police Instructor, School Resource officer, Media Relations, Crime Prevention Inspector, Breath Test Operator, Narcotics Highway Interdiction, Basic Narcotics Investigator, SFST Pratitioner, Traffic Occupant Protection Strategies Instructor, Field Training Instructor and Crime Prevention Pratitioner.
 
Awards include:  2 Commendations, Life Saving Award, Officer of the Year and a 5-Year Safe Driving Award.
